Vacheron Constantin Extract from the Archive, Service Details
Designed by a young Jorg Hysek, the 222, was made to commemorate the 222nd anniversary of Vacheron Constantin. The watch was launched in 1977 as the Steel luxury Vacheron’s sport watch, competing principally in the market with the Patek Philippe ‘Nautilus’ and the AP’s Royal Oak (designed by Gerald Genta). With its 38 mm case, the Jumbo is having the ultra thin 1121 Automatic Caliber. Produced for seven years, the total production is of only 500 watches in all metals and dial combinations.
